Balloons are the universally recognized icon of celebration and bring happiness to millions annually. Whether celebrating a birthday, graduation, wedding, the opening of a new business, or comforting someone when they are sick, balloons are ubiquitous tokens of affection that create smiles and joy like no other product can. Loving balloons and loving the environment are not mutually exclusive. This is why the CRC highlights reputable, third-party data from governmental, non-profit, and academic sources to encourage policymakers to consider the benefits of public education on smart balloon practices and responsible use.
